Aligners: These work the same way as traditional braces except they’re not held in place by brackets and bands. These can be easily removed to eat, brush, and floss your teeth.
Removable Retainers: these are worn on the roof of the mouth to prevent repaired teeth from moving into their previous position. These can be modified to prevent thumb sucking.
Removable Space Maintainers: These are made from an acrylic base that fits over the jaw. They use plastic or wire branches to keep the space between specific teeth open. They work as well as traditional space maintainers and can be removed according to the patient’s convenience.
Lip and Cheek Bumpers: these are put into the mouth to keep lips and cheeks away from the teeth. Sometimes, lip and cheek muscles exert pressure on your teeth and these bumpers can help relieve that pressure.
